Caroline Lam has been developing her choreographic research since 2004, with polymorphous projects ranging from public spaces to video installations and museum performances. She is interested in the inscription of the body and its trace in the collective imagination. A French-Swiss dancer and choreographer of Vietnamese origin, trained in Paris at IFPRO Rick Odums alongside her studies in Modern Literature at Paris 8 University, she began her professional career with the Mouvances company alongside Carl Portal, before joining the Linga company in Pully, Switzerland, in 1999.
Since 2001, she has taken part in various performance projects and creations with Gisela Rocha company, Philippe Saire, Obviam Est, Tiziana Arnaboldi, Marie Caroline Hominal, Delgado Fuchs.
In 2023, she collaborated with Krassen Krastev and David Zagari on a creation ON&ON&ON using the dance pole as a scenic device and questioning its multi-sensory experience on the audience.
From 2012 to 2017, she was involved in movement and choreography for the theater Le petit chaperon UF, by Heidi Kipfer, in shows with the Haute école de musique de Lausanne and Fritz Hauser Tâches blanches, and in opera for Noah's Ark at the Bâtiment des forces motrices with the Geneva Chamber Orchestra.
Graduated in France and Switzerland as a contemporary dance teacher, she is involved in swiss dance professional training since a decade and Head of CFC (Federal Capacity Certificate) vocational contemporary dance program at the education center CFP Arts, since 2022.
